What’s in a Name?

The original "duster" was a full-length, light-colored canvas or linen coat worn by horsemen to protect their clothing from trail dust. These dusters were typically slit up the back to hip level for ease of wear on horseback and were the recommended "uniform" for Texas Rangers. Born from the western heritage in Steamboat, a ski trail on Steamboat Resort has been so named, which also happens to be a great mountain biking trail in the summer.
