What’s in a Name?
Back in the day, our beloved Sarvis Creek just south of Steamboat Springs was used to transport lumber to the Steamboat Mill for processing. Nowadays, it is one of our favorite places to take a quick overnight backpacking trip or hunt for hungry trout in the early morning hours. If you look close enough you can still see the log flumes used to send timber downriver.
