Features

The Scout 2 Carbon is the ultimate single-wall structure featuring Dyneema® Composite Fabric. Packing small and extremely light weight, this tent is engineered to handle the elements like no other trekking-pole supported tent.

This two-person, single-wall tent offers generous living space for trail missions where every ounce of weight and inch of space counts

Exterior trekking-pole design paired with vertical endwalls and over-vertical sidewalls creates a spacious floor plan

Dyneema® Composite Fabric is respected as the premium brand for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. This fabric is ultralight weight, 100% rainproof and has a high dimensional stability that resists stretching or sagging during temperature changes. Its unique structure creates a fabric with extremely high tear-strength and allows for welded construction, which eliminates seams and the need for seam tape, enhancing its durability and waterproofness.

Reinforced pockets for your trekking poles keep your tent body protected

Full-body vent system: multiple mesh vents with protective eves keep air circulating while keeping weather out

Vertical, head-entry door with extended dry-entry eve

Storm flaps on exterior zippers

Double slider zippers allows for venting from the top or bottom

Two oversized 3-D bin pockets provide ample storage without encroaching on your livable space

Self-adjusting guyouts on front corners

Ready to pitch; with pre-cut guylines and tensioners attached to fly

Reflective guylines and webbing on tent corners

These tents are extremely lightweight and require special care to increase their longevity

Use of a footprint is highly encouraged as not using a footprint could quickly damage your floor if you are not careful choosing a campsite selection

To extend the life of your tent floor we recommend using a Big Agnes footprint - sold separately

Multiple interior loops for use with gear lofts or for attaching other accessories

What’s in a Name?

The Hunt Continues: We are all looking for something, right? The original inhabitants of the land now known as Steamboat Springs were the Yampatikas Utes. They were light and fast scouts who found the area ideal for summer hunting. Then came the French fur trappers seeking the finest pelt, ranchers came looking for greener pastures, and lastly the mining boom hit towards the end of the 1800's. Now they say the only scout left is he who seeks stashes of untracked powder, hidden in places we dare not say.
