Danvers Creek was a small creek that ran through the Herold Ranch, in the Pleasant Valley area near present-day Lake Catamount. In the 1970’s, when Colorado was competing to host the Olympics, they dammed the Yampa River to create the 530-acre reservoir that we know as Lake Catamount.
