Danvers Creek was a small creek that ran through the Herold Ranch, in the Pleasant Valley area near present-day Lake Catamount. In the 1970’s, when Colorado was competing to host the Olympics, they dammed the Yampa River to create the 530-acre reservoir that we know as Lake Catamount. The private reservoir is one of the first sights you will see while descending Rabbit Ears Pass on your way into the beautiful Yampa Valley.
